Winter in the Southern Alps, New Zealand

August 19th 2008 09:36
As per the previous posts, I took a day trip into the Alps last Sunday and for my overseas readers who are still enjoying the last weeks of their summer, enjoy.

Just past Porters Pass

Spot the car

Klondyke corner

On the way back I stopped by Cave Creek where there was a good slope where people were sledging down. My mate had his snow board and I used a bivy bag.

Flipping quick but great fun

Port Hills from my desk, as you can see another wintery day in the garden city
