Christchurch Weather Eye- Weird Clouds

I was cycling home tonight at about 5.30ish when I noticed these really weird cloud formations all around me. 'Thats got to be worth a pic' I thought, cycling all the harder to get home to my better camera. Although by the time I got down the beach front, the clouds weren't as good as previously but still impressve though.

absolutely beautiful, albeit eerie, I agree.

Similar things in Oz lately in Queensland... strange formations of what look like ice clouds up high... not usual in summer at all... and it's been REALLY Monsoonal...

I loved these photo's, some of those formations looked positively like the end of the world scary ... thanks for sharing.
