Trans Alpine Winter Cycle Ride
June 2nd 2007 08:05
Hi everyone
Well tomorrow will be the first day of the trans alpine cycle jaunt. We leave Chch on the Trans Alpine train at 8.15 am and arrive at Greymouth at 12.30. Rest of the day will be relaxing and taking in the local sights lol. Mon is Greymouth to Otira, then Tues will be Otira to Arthur's Pass, Wed will be the toughest day from Arthur's Pass to Springfield, Then Thurs is Springfield to Christchurch, total distance approx 280km.
Bike is all loaded and ready to go and it weighs a ton
. Not too sure if and what computer/internet access I will have so might have to wait until I get back before posting photos etc, but will see what I can do?
Really looking forward to all the photographic opportunites that will arise, so expect I will find some special pics for my showing in Sept.
This is where we will be staying at Arthur's Pass village, we have stayed here before and nice cosy little cottage's so will be nice.
Anyway, enjoy the long weekend and keep watching this space for updates.
Thought for the day 'Visions of the future are better than dreams of the past'

Yes, this pic was taken in my front yard here in Key Largo last week. Once I get the new domain (debatefan) sorted out I have a bunch of good stuff (photos/video) of the Keys and Everglades to post.
Can't wait to see your pics!
