Something you don't do everyday

Now in case you are wondering about the title of todays post, well CTV which is a local Christchurch tv station are looking for a new presenter for their show Good Living. As this is a direction I would like to pursue, I sent in my CV and pics last week. Whilst I was away in the Alps, I got a call on my mobile regarding an audition. So this morning I went along to the studio and did a 30-40 sec voice audition. My first time in a studio but I enjoyed it and a good experience to have. Not too sure how long it will be before I hear, so it will be a case of watch this space.........
On another note, I was checking out a picture framer in regards to my fine art photography portfolio I'm developing and they mentioned about someone in the city who has some work framed and I could take a look to get an idea of the finished result.
The shop is on Manchester St and called Absolution, they have a very cool black and chrome scooter in the window and its mainly a tattoo/alternative art outlet. as I went in, I saw these amazing artistic designs on the wall and got chatting to their creator, a young lady by the name of Fiona. The reason some of her designs caught my eye, is because I have been looking for an artist who could create some concept designs that reflect my vision for The Chronicles of Lamora, its people, places and creatures and her 'Spike' design, was very simliar to a creature I visualized from my trilogy.
The possibility of seeing my creations actually taking form and becoming real, is very exciting, so it will be a case of watch this space again for more updates regarding this.
If you are passing Absolution, have a quick look as even though the designs aren't mainstream, they are still very impressive and well worth a viewing.
Now I had better write up day 2 of Coast to Coast
