A Great Night Out with The Breeze FM in Christchurch
Over the last couple of weeks, The Breeze had been advertising a ‘Single Mingle’ at the Boogie Nights bar, so as I hadn’t been to one of these before, thought it might be another option to look at.
So with a few friends and work colleagues, we took a look. The Breeze crew were fun and friendly and issued us with name badges upon arrival before showing us to the bar for a free Stella beer, so not bad for $5.00. We arrived at about 7.15 pm and from then onwards there was a steady stream of people arriving and the age group was very varied, with the majority from late 20s upwards.
The name badges were a great idea as it made it easy to chat to people without trying to hear what their name was over the music and with the atmosphere very relaxed and easy going, pretty soon most people were chatting and having fun. With great live vocals the dance floor was always packed and the music reflected the mixed age range.
I met up with some old work colleagues, friends I hadn’t seen for a while and also some very nice ladies, so time will tell there I guess?
Overall a very good night, fun, laid back with good music and some genuinely nice people, so if you haven’t been to one before, forget the old cliché stereotype image of a singles night and go and have fun.
