New Brighton Sunrise Photos 2
April 3rd 2007 09:10
Hi everyone
Now I was cycling to work this morning and as I looked up Beach road towards the beach, I could see that there was going to be a nice sunrise, so deciding that work could wait another few minutes, I headed off towards the beach. Strange thing was, as I was halfway along Beach road, I could feel the air temperature getting warmer, so was interesting to notice that much difference from being close to the sea.

Anyway as I rested my bike against the wooden railings and rushed to grab my camera, it was just amazing to stand there, feeling the warm breeze blow off the sea, the gentle sound of the waves and take in the scene. To the left there was a couple in the distance walking and on my right towards the pier, there was just one person and his dog.

Its times like this that you realise what is really important as I could have stayed down the beach for a couple of hours just chilling, instead of getting caught up in the daily grind, although this morning set me up for the whole day, so well worth the effort. Only down side was, as I headed back towards the city, the moon was still visable and looked pretty cool but I was unable to find a good vantage point to take some pics.
Well I hope you have got as much enjoyment out of these photos as I did taking them, so its worth getting up early sometimes and just going for a walk as you tend to see things that you wouldn't see.
Opened my thoughts book on a random page and this one is very apt
Thought for the day ' Think big thoughts, but relish small pleasures'
Definately one of those days today.
