Landscapes that helped to inspire the Chronicles of Lamora Trilogy (working title)
April 21st 2007 00:09
Hi everyone
I thought I would share some of my photos that have helped to inspire my trilogy, pretty much most are NZ based and taken by myself.
This first series is of the bug infested swamps that Heather & Jovo have to cross to escape their pursuers, this is a wild and desolate place with very few paths and places of shelter but as both Heather and Jovo are now wanted outlaws, they have no choice but to enter in the hope of covering their tracks.
The swamp is made up with many small rivers, dank murky ponds, the few paths that are there change with the seasons and there is many a deep bog awaiting to trap the unwary.
Foulwater pools gurgle up from the depths
The wet winding pathway
I have quite a few more photos that have inspired me although they aren't on cd at the moment but once I have them scanned, will put them on. All the above photos were taken 21/04/07 at 9am about 5 mins from where I live. Cool eh?
Catch you all later

beautiful pictures...very peaceful and almost "dreamy"...I have a Japanese garden in my back yard that very much resembles some of your pictures...
Great post!
