Wigram Beer, BBQ & Jazz festival at Riccarton House, Christchurch 24th Feb 08

Wigram Brewing Company & Taste, annual Beer & BBQ Festival from 12pm to 6pm
Such a warm sunny day here in the garden city, so when a friend asked if I would like to go to the Jazz festival for lunch, why not I thought? The venue was Riccarton House by Deans Bush, which I must say was my first time here but was very plesantly suprised by the setting.

There was a small but substantial menu on offer and I ordered the Deans Beef gourmet burger with havoc bacon and beer onion relish at $9 and my friend ordered the Akaroa Salmon fillet with crisp salad and Taste herb aoli at $13.50.
The service was excellent, with the food well presented although the taste was just something else! I can honestly say that this was the best, most full of flavour gourmet burger I have tasted to date. Each mouthful was just wonderful, hence why there are no pics of it before hand as after just one taste, I couldn't resist. According to my friend, the salmon was just as good and the Wigram beer went down a treat also.
With the stunning weather, food, music and setting it was a great way to spend a few hours relaxing. Great for families and there are even rugs laid out on the grass for guests to sit on, also Deans Bush is well worth a walk around
