Great customer Service by Smiths City, Christchurch, NZ
May 9th 2007 04:59
Hi everyone
Just thought I would write a post regarding the great customer service I have received from Smiths City here in Christchurch. I had recently bought a Panasonic heatpump for approx $3000 but not long after being installed it started to make a clicking noise and the fan seemed to be running out of balance. Generally like most of us, I never really like to make a fuss but decided I would have to say somethingas those sort of things do bug me.
Anyway I went into the store and saw the salesperson who had made the initial sale. When I explained the problem with the heat pump, straight away she advised 'Thats not a problem, leave with me and I will call you back' . True to her word she called me back to advise that yes it can be fixed and that the required part would be here in a month.
When I voiced my concern at the amount of time for the part to arrive, she advised she would see what she could do? Within in a couple of days, I had a call from the installation admin manager as well as the instal manager to arrange a time for the replacement part to be fitted and as of tonight, I have a very quiet heat pump now.
So top marks to the team at Smiths City for excellent customer service and follow up.
Nice one!
With that service still in mind, I have just purchased a Canon Powershot S3 IS from there also, as I realised the limitations on my small Olympus and as this is now my 4th Canon camera, expect to see some even better photos appearing on my blog. And might well review the camera also at a later date.

Gday Nathan, thanks for reading my post, your blog page raises some interesting comments, have you read any books by Dr Ian Brooks? As his books are spot on and if every business ran their outlets as he advises, well they would really increase turnover and profits. A good one of his to read is The Businesspersons Toolbox of really useful Business Ideas 2, well worth a read as a customer or business owner, plenty of good advice.
Cheers
Hal
