Christchurch Weather Eye- Rainbow at the beach
June 2nd 2008 07:56
Winter is here now in the Garden City, with snow dusting the peaks of the Southern Alps and good frosts most mornings but we were blessed with sunny weather on Sat with milder wet weather on Sun. Bank holiday morning wasn't too bad either, so meeting up with some friends, took the opportunity to take a walk along New Brighton beach.
As we were all walking along, the sky towards the Port Hills turned black and a few spots of rain was felt before an amzing rainbow appeared.
Rainbows, just one of nature's marvels and well worth taking the time to let the inner child out and find joy in simple things around you.
thought for the day 'Don't allow self pity. The moment this emotion strikes strikes, do something nice for someone less fortunate than you'.
