Ceroc Spring Ball, Christchurch Town Hall, Sept 13th 2008
September 14th 2008 08:37
Simple but stunning table display greeted the guests arriving to their tables.
It seems like it has been alot longer than the beginning of June, since i started Ceroc dancing but its one decision I am pleased to have made as its great fun, awesome people and they have such groovy functions. Which one of the highlights being the Ceroc Spring Ball. This was held at the Limes room at Christchurch town hall and as you can see by the first pic, alot of effort had been spent to make it a great night.
I must say it has been a good few years since I wore a black suit and tie and as I looked in the mirror before leaving, a few words sprung to mind, ' Quantum of Solace Mr Bond?' Opps I seemed to have digressed somewhat so back to the topic in question lol.
We arrived just after the start and it wasn't long before the dance floor was full of everyone dancing and having fun. Events like this a great, as you get to catch up with old friends, make new friends and just have a great time.
Funky lights
After a good couple of hours dancing, the guests were treated to a stunning display of freestyle dancing by John and Tania, who just recently won the Advanced Open category at the Auckland East & South Ceroc Championships.

Watching a display like this, gives you something to aspire to, as I danced a couple of times with Tania, throughout the evening and it was a real treat for me as you can learn so much from someone so talented. So after 5 hours, everyone left with a smile and probably sore feet but it was a great evening!
As you can see, I have learned how to post vids on here, so watch this space for more footage.
Being a little arty
