C1 Espresso, High St, Christchurch

I have often passed C1 Espresso in the past but this would be the first time I have actually been in there and I was pleasantly surprised upon entering. The decor is the kind of quirky alternative style that is always interesting and gives style and character to the establishment. As I sat down on what looked to be old movie theater seats and soaked in the atmosphere, I could be forgiven for imagining that I was in a café in New Orleans or New York.
Whilst browsing the menu my attention was drawn to the fish tank inside the old tv cabinet, very cool!
The background music was different but I found myself starting to like the beat and it was then that I noticed a DJ booth at the rear of the building with a pretty impressive collection of old radios.
I ordered as a meal the bacon and mushroom pasta with an apple juice which came to about $14.50 in total. The meal was nicely presented and full of flavor from sliced mushrooms, sauce, to very tasty bacon bites and overall very filling.
The staff were very polite and professional and there was a steady stream of customers for dine in and take away whilst I was there. So if you are about the central city and need to have a coffee or a bite to eat, then drop in and see the team at C1 Espresso.
