Black & White Photography -Clouds around Sugarloaf, Christchurch
December 17th 2007 07:47
Been very hot and humid here in Christchurch this weekend and at about 5pm on Sat evening I decided to go for a ride on my motorbike. I thought a trip around the Port Hills along the summit road might be good, so off I went.
As I reached Sugarloaf and the tv/radio transmitter, I was amazed at the clouds which were swirling around the structure. It was like there were two conflicting air currents, so I took out my smaller camera and started taking some pics.
My only wish was that I'd had my larger camera with and that the sun hadn't been so bright as the photos don't really do what I saw justice really.
On Sunday it was very hot here in the city and I decided to go for another ride to Little River Art Gallery for a look. This is on the way to Akaroa and very popular with bikers, the roads are pretty good with some nice sweeping corners and bends to lean the bike into. Whilst at the gallery, this stunning machine pulled up outside.
